New York Magazine’s Star Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi Takes Leave After Disclosing Romantic Relationship with RFK Jr."

New York Magazine's prominent Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi has taken a leave of absence after revealing a recent romantic relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the magazine confirmed on Thursday.

According to Oliver Darcy, who first reported the story, the magazine became aware of the relationship just before Nuzzi's disclosure. A spokesperson for New York Magazine stated that Nuzzi violated the publication's conflict of interest and disclosure policies while reporting on the 2024 presidential campaign.

The magazine emphasized that had they known of the relationship earlier, Nuzzi would not have continued covering the campaign. An internal review found no inaccuracies or bias in her published work, but a third-party investigation is underway.

In her own statement, Nuzzi, 31, denied that the relationship was ever "physical" but acknowledged that some communication with the former subject had become "personal." She expressed regret for not disclosing the situation sooner and apologized to her colleagues.

It remains unclear when the relationship began, but a source close to Nuzzi stated it started after her November 2023 profile of Kennedy. Reports also claim Kennedy privately "boasted" about the relationship, despite being married to actress Cheryl Hines since 2014.
